The Light Foundation recently hosted its 4th Annual Fools’ Night Out on April Fool’s Day, Saturday April 1st, 2017. Matt Light MC’ed the event alongside popular actor comedian Tony V for the sold-out event at Showcase Live at Patriot Place. The two were joined by local comedians: Steve Sweeney, Graig Murphy, Brad Mastrangelo, Mike McCarthy, Christine Hurley, Danny Miller, Artie Januario, Robbie Printz, Matty B., and Lenny Clarke. In between acts, Light showed the crowd video footage from his personal collection of pranks that he had pulled on friends and teammates while playing for the Patriots, including one showing him messing with teammates while they were sleeping on the plane ride home after a Super Bowl win. A handful of current and former Patriots players were in attendance including: Nate Solder, Sebastian Vollmer, Matt Chatham, and Sammy Morris.
Lead sponsor Rockport Mortgage, along with sponsors J. Derenzo Company, Twelve Points Wealth, and MEEB, former teammates, local celebrities, and other generous adults broke the Fools’ Night Out fundraising record, raising over $80,000 for the Light Foundation. Auction items included overnight stays at Patriot Place hotels, signed Patriots SBLI gear, Gronk signed jerseys, and an exclusive meet and greet with Kenny Chesney this summer.
The funds raised will support the Foundation’s mission help put at-risk youth from across the country on a path to success. and will help fund new local student leadership conference programming based in New England.
