Plans are already underway for 12th Annual Matt Light Celebrity Shoot-Out, our signature annual fundraiser, and one the most exciting and unique charity events in North America. The date has been set – it’s all happening on Tuesday, September 13th, at Rhode Island’s world-class Addieville East Farm.

The Shoot-Out combines a clay-shooting tournament, an outdoor concert, fun and sportsman-like contests and demonstrations, and even fine-dining and a large-scale fireworks display -- for a memorable day for both sponsors and “shooters,” alike. The event has attracted celebrities from the world of sports, music, TV and entertainment, and is routinely a record-breaker in terms of money raised, the number of attendees and the phenomenal media coverage generated. We’ll raise the bar in 2016 again by adding more celebrities, more competition, and more exciting exhibitions to what has come to be known as the premiere shooting event in the country!

Well-known attendees routinely show up for the Shoot-Out. Everyone from current Patriots Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman, Rob Ninkovich, Stephen Gostkowski, Nate Solder, Sebastian Vollmer, Marcus Cannon, Ryan Allen, and Nate Ebner, to Matt’s former teammates Wes Welker, Tedy Bruschi, Logan Mankins, Dan Koppen, Dan Connolly, Adam Vinatieri, Mike Vrable, Zoltan Mesko, Larry Izzo, Lonnie Paxton, Joe Andruzzi, Matt Chatham, Sammy Morris and Troy Brown, who have also participated. Patriots’ alumni Pete Brock, Steve Nelson and Larry Eisenhower, and NFL stand-outs Steve Hutchinson, Chris Deilman, and Hall-of- Famer Andre Tippett have also played a part. Also on hand -- former Boston Bruin Jay Miller, Mike Fourtner of reality TV’s “Deadliest Catch,” CBS TV’s “Person of Interest” star Kevin Chapman, Olympians Kelli Stack, Simon Shnapir, Marissa Castelli, Elena Pirozhokova and the cast and crew of “Wicked Tuna” have come out to enjoy the day. Comedian and actor Lenny Clarke has emceed every year with help from fellow comedians like Tony V, and some of the world’s top shooters, Jerry Miculek and Max Michel, Jr., have given demos to the shooters, and have also held a celebrity “Hot Shot” contest, which pits some of the famous faces there against each other. Last year, Olympic shooters Josh Richmond and Mark Weeks put on a one-of-a-kind trick-shooting demonstration that had the crowds riveted. We’ll be showcasing some sharp shooting skills again this year!

In addition to the shooting tournament and contest, guests can visit with exhibitors, such as Gooseman Game Calls, Kawasaki, Thomas & Thomas Fly Fishing, Swarovski Optik, Hasbro, Ball & Buck, Vital X Archery, KRAVE Jerky, Tactical 5.11, Brian Fox Studios and sponsoring gun companies: Ruger, Smith & Wesson, Sig Sauer, Kimber and Remington. Other onsite activities are offered, like fly-fishing, 3-D archery, a Nerf Shooting Gallery “Big Kids Zone,” a handgun range, and rides on the Kawasaki Teryx. After an authentic barbeque lunch, enjoy dinner by popular steakhouse The Capital Grille. Top that off with live musical entertainment, and a live auction run by Matt, and pals Lennyand Tony, featuring celebrity-driven items and VIP trips. The night ends with a big fireworks display!

To date, the Shoot-Out has raised over $5.5 million dollars for initiatives that include various programs for at-risk teens in Rhode Island, Ohio, Indiana, Tennessee, Louisiana and Massachusetts.

The nonprofit’s objective: to provide at-risk youth with unique outdoor learning experiences that assist them in meeting, and exceeding all their goals. Matt’s greater vision has always been to support larger nonprofit groups’ efforts and impact more kids from around the country, and he’s done so through dozens of other Chenoweth Trails initiatives and community events that brought nearly 4,000 people through the facility in 2015.

A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to all our sponsors, our shooting participants, the vendors, donors, volunteers and all the celebrities who came out to make it the great day that it was!It was a fantastic event that raised a lot of money for The Light Foundation!

Once again, the tournament was filled to capacity with enthusiastic participants ready for all kinds of exciting activities in the morning, like: fly fishing with Thomas & Thomas, Vital X 3-D Archery and Bass Pro Shops, the Nerf Big Kid’s Zone, courtesy of Hasbro, and Mike Higgins’ chainsaw sculptures.Our Exhibition Tent showcased gun companies like Smith & Wesson, Ruger, Sig Sauer, Remington, Kimber, Thomson Center and other vendors like Gooseman Gamecalls, Randolph Engineering, Krave Jerky, Brian Fox Studios, Thomas & Thomas, Swarovski Optik, and Kawasaki.

The Shoot-Out runs on Dunkin’!!The Dunkin’ Donuts booth was set up early to get everyone revved up at the Registration Kiosk. Thanks, Dunkin’, for the coffee and donuts!

The Hot Shot Contest drew a record crowd as celebrities like Troy Brown, Dan Koppen, Marcus Cannon, Rob Ninkovich, Matt Chatham, Stephen Gostkowski, Olympic wrestler Elena Pirozhokova and Lenny Clarke tested their skills against each other with Dan Koppen claiming victory this year!

And *new* this year, a special surprise with an exhibition from the Randolph Engineering Ranger Professional Shooting Team, featuring Josh Richmond and Mark Weeks.Everyone was wowed by their shooting trickery!

Lunch was new and different this year – graciously donated by Tom Mrva, and provided by his twin brother Mike Mrva of New York-based Smokey Legends BarBQ…amazing!Thank you, Mike!

Everyone headed out on the course after Stephen Gostkowski lit the cannon for the ceremonial start to the tournament.

After the tournament, country music recording artist Matt Stillwell took the stage as appetizers provided by Prezza and Wicked Kickin’ Savory Cheesecakes were devoured by all.Thank you, Anthony Caturano and Sean and Katie McKenna!Matt and Lenny kicked off the Live Auction while drinks flowed from our longtime vendors, Three Olives Vodka, Harpoon, Cabin Fever Whisky, Keel Vodka, Pepsi and Hint Water.Dinner, once again, was very generously donated by Chris Scott and The Capital Grille – thank you Chris! Everyone enjoyed their signature steak and lobster mac and cheese…unbelievable!

Winston Flowers helped spruce up our décor with rustic centerpieces that included Nancy Gutfarb’s homemade gourmet candied pecans.

After the silent auction closed, we topped the night off with the best fireworks display ever courtesy of American Fireworks!

Thank you for supporting the Light Foundation and for making the 10th year anniversary of the Shoot-Out a Huge Success!

A very heartfelt, sincere thank you to all of you for making the 10th Annual Matt Light Celebrity Shoot-Out at Addieville East Farm a huge success. We capped off a decade of doing this signature event by setting our biggest attendance records yet. We were also able to raise a record $700,000 for the Light Foundation to help the at-risk kids from around the country whom we serve. We are so very grateful to all of you who volunteered, worked, donated, and supported us in a variety of different ways. It takes a small army to pull this off every year, and we have been able to build the best one in the business.

Nearly 500 guests and 150 volunteers came out to support the all-day clay shooting fundraiser, which included exhibitors like Randolph, Swarovski Optik, Gooseman Game Calls, VINOvations, Thomas & Thomas, KRAVE Jerky, and all of the participating gun companies, a "Hot Shot" contest, fly fishing, 3D archery from Vital X Archery, a Nerf Zone courtesy of Hasbro, Kawasaki rides, and a live chainsaw sculpture by Mike Higgins. Celebrity guests included: Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman, Rob Ninkovich (this year's Hot Shot Contest Winner!), Ryan Wendell, Dan Connolly, Stevan Ridley, Shane Vereen, Joe Vellano, Jordan Devey, Marcus Cannon (this year's top Celebrity Shooter!), Joe Andruzzi, Russ Hochstein, Dan Koppen, Dante Scarnecchia, Ronnie Lippett, Ilia Jarostchuk, the cast ofNational Geographic's Wicked Tuna and Olympians Simon Shnapir, Marissa Castelli and Kelli Stack.

An unbelievable game lunch was catered by Denny Corriveau, New England's Wild Cheff, delicious hearty appetizers were provided by Davio's, and Chris Scott and his team from the Capital Grille fed a record crowd of dinner guests an amazing spread - we can't thank you all enough for making the guest experience as special as it is by providing such good food. Thank you to our spirits sponsors as well: Three Olives Vodka, Harpoon Brewery, Cabin Fever Whisky, KEEL Vodka, VINOvations, and Wicked Kickin' Savory Cheesecakes for the snacks. The crowd was entertained by three musical guests during the day and evening portion - the Drumadics, Brothers McCann, and Aaron Lewis. Colonial Fireworks ended the night with a spectacular fireworks display.

Thank you to Dunkin Donuts who provided coffee and donuts in the morning and to James' Breakfast and More for providing all the meals for our 150 volunteers.
