Message from Matt Light
Our Mission
The Light Foundation strives to instill and augment the values of responsibility, accountability, and hard work by providing youth with unique outdoor learning experiences that assist them in reaching their highest potential. Our goal is to lead young people down a path to becoming responsible members of their communities who are capable of passing on the torch of leadership and achievement to their friends and families.
Have fun outdoors and help raise money for the Light Foundation at the annual Matt Light Celebrity Shootout. Matt will be there, current and former Patriots players will be there, and a host of other local and national celebrities as well. All outdoorsmen and supporters are encouraged to register and attend this unique event.
See what happens when four teenagers from a Rhode Island inner city spend 12 days with four teenagers from a Cheyenne Indian reservation in the mountains of Montana and are challenged to learn and grow.
Matt runs two youth football camps each summer, one in Ohio and one in Massachusetts.

Matt Light talked to USA TODAY about his foundation. One of the campers, Lloyd Lone Elk, 15, from Lame Deer, Montana, says the camp helps him to stay "away from drugs and alcohol."
